But first, my nod to a very... perverse section of my current fandom...
Someone's LJ icon has this whole flash thing about "My fandom has a thing about penguins. No really. What IS it with this fandom and penguins?"

I can only say this... the show started out in Antarctica... the show has machines that tend to do bad things and don't come with instructions and only those w/ certain genes can use them... the show has consistently placed 2 people together, made them save each others lives/drive each other nuts/do math puzzles for fun/run away from danger while snarking, usually at each other. Oh, and in a week? One of 'em kisses a boy. It's like a Geeky Gay version of Moonlighting.

Somehow, that all made a few writers think that... turning certain characters into penguins would be an interesting crack!fic.

And they were right.
